It is located in western Italy in the Valle d'Aosta region. The summit can be reached from Bivacco Alberico e Brogna (3679 m), Rifugio Monzino (2590 m), Bivacco Piero Craveri (3490 m), and Bivouac de la Brenva (3060 m).

The mountain has three peaks:

Pointe Güssfeldt (4112 m),
Pointe Seymour King (4107 m),
Pointe Jones (4104 m).
The first ascent was made on July 31, 1885, by Henry Seymour King, Emile Rey, Ambros Supersaxo, and Aloys Anthamatten.
