At an altitude of 4,362 meters, this is the last place where you can stop on your way to conquering the summit of Mont Blanc and the surrounding peaks. More of a small bivouac than a real hut, the facilities are basic and intended for emergency use, not for planned overnight stays, especially for climbers in trouble or for longer routes in the area.

Although in a fantastic remote location, there are several things to consider if you end up near this hut!

It is officially not allowed to plan an overnight stay; the hut is reserved for climbers in case of emergency (think about it!)
The hut is completely cut off; if the weather changes, you are caught in a bad place.
Located at a high altitude of 4,362m - if you are not well acclimatized, you will have problems the following day!
The hut is sometimes very dirty!!!
