The history begins in 1898 with the construction of the hut known as the "old one," whose building is still visible from the cable car. The current hut, commonly referred to as the "new one," was built in the early 1950s thanks to sections of CAI in Turin and Aosta and financial participation from the Valle d'Aosta region. In 2015, modernization work was carried out, allowing it to accommodate up to 160 people. You can reach the hut in a few minutes from Punta Helbronner, where the cable car from Pavillon arrives. Alternatively, it is possible to hike along a fairly long climbing route starting from the Pavillon hut below.
