A prominent massif near the Jungfraujoch cogwheel railway station. The smaller brother of Mönch, separated by the Mönchsjoch saddle. It is completely surrounded by glaciers - to the west is Jungfraufirn, to the south is the glacial plateau of Konkordiaplatz, and to the east is Ewigschneefeld.
The first ascent was made on July 13, 1871.
