About chalet Berglihütte

Švýcarsko Švýcarsko

Berglihütte was the first hut in the Jungfrau region, built in 1869 "behind" the Eiger. It was the most important base for summit tours of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. With the opening of the Jungfraujoch railway station in 1912 and the construction of Mönchsjochhütte in 1978, Berglihütte lost its significance, but it has been preserved to this day. It is a living testament to the beginnings of high-altitude hiking. This is precisely what makes this beautifully located alpine accommodation so attractive, a cultural asset that many call a gem.
Berglihütte offers 22 beds and is self-service. Access from Jungfraujoch in winter takes 1:30-2 hours, in summer 2-3 hours.

Nearest peaks: Eiger (3967 m,  1.7 km) Mönch (4107 m,  2 km) Trugberg (3933 m,  2.3 km)
