Dufourspitze (French Pointe Dufour, Italian Punta Dufour) is the highest mountain in Switzerland at 4,634 m above sea level, the second highest mountain in the Alps, and the second highest mountain in Europe (west of the Caucasus). It is located in the Monte Rosa massif in the Pennine Alps, on the border between Switzerland and Italy. The best time for the ascent is from June to September using glacier equipment.
