The Monte Rosa Hut is located in the midst of untouched and magnificent landscapes between the Gorner, Grenz, and Monte Rosa glaciers. The hut is situated on the 'Platje', at the foot of the Monte Rosa massif, and is an ideal starting point for many 4000-meter peaks in the Monte Rosa area: e.g. Dufourspitze, Nordend, and Lyskamm.
Access in summer: Panorama trail to Monte Rosa Hut from Rotenboden, 4h
Winter:
Schwarztor, 4–5h
From Klein Matterhorn via Schwarztor to the Gorner Glacier and a short ascent to the hut.
Gandegg, 5h
From Klein Matterhorn or Furgsattel to the Gandegg ski lift, then across the lower Theodul Glacier to the Gorner Glacier and ascent to the hut.
Gornerli, 6h
From Zermatt or Furi via Gornerli and Gorner Glacier to the hut.
Stockhorn, 4–5h
From Rote Nase station via Stockhorn and Saaserlücke.

Capacity 120 beds, winter room 12 beds.
