A prominent mountain in the German part of Šumava, northwest of Velký Javor, 7 km from the Czech border. A shiny metal cross rises from the summit rock on the northwest side of the ridge, offering distant views. The European long-distance path E6 runs over the summit, from the northeastern tip of Finland to the Turkish strait of Dardanelles, separating Europe and Asia.
