The legendary Mrtvý kámen (also known as Umrlčí kámen), rising on a rocky promontory opposite Vilémova vyšina, was an important lookout point for the Rosenberg Castle and its surroundings during troubled times. According to some historical sources, part of the retinue of the noble lady Kateřina Míšeňská was murdered here while fleeing from the Hussites after the lost battle at Na běháni in 1426. (The larger part of the approximately three hundred remaining Crusaders was massacred while attempting to escape through the pass near Kyšperk Castle.)
