Dent Blanche is a massive mountain with a symmetrical shape. It has 4 ridges that, when viewed from above, form almost a cross, and 4 faces. It gave its name to an entire tectonic plate of solid gneiss, which slid in as a former part of Africa onto the Eurasian plate about one hundred million years ago. (goat.cz)
