The Mischabeljoch bivouac is a metal structure on poles. It is located a few steps south of Mischabeljoch (3847 m) in the first rocks leading to Alphubel. In summer, it is quite frequently visited, but space is limited. Therefore, this airy accommodation is used only during ascents.

Mischabeljoch itself is an extensive high-altitude hike. Recently, the access via Alphubel has also become more convenient and popular.

In this airy accommodation high above Saas-Fee and Täsch, you will find high-altitude tourists heading for the southern ridge of Täschhorn or crossing Mischabel. Apart from the emergency bivouac Solvay on the Matterhorn, it is the highest SAC hut and one of the most comfortable for its height and size. Accordingly, the view extends into the Pád valley on one side and from the Matterhorn to Weisshorn on the other side.
