Ortler (Italian: Ortles) is the highest mountain of the Ortler range (German: Ortler) located in Italy. The peak is also the highest point in the Italian province of Alto Adige. It is situated in the western part of the range on the ridge called Cattena di Zebrú, where the highest peaks of the range are found.
Until 1919, the territory of present-day South Tyrol was part of Austria-Hungary, and Ortler was the highest peak of the state.
