Bruntál (Moravskoslezský kraj)

Logged on Vrcholovka 180x in total. Peak information here was completed by Pája, krupjan, Luke, Martin Matějka a Bouřka.

Petrovy kameny is part of challenges: Koruna Sudet, Nejhory Moravskoslezska, Thousanders of the Jeseníky

A secondary peak of Vysoká hole, 1100 m to the north. A prominent rock formation (frost weathering) made of phyllites and quartzites in a mushroom shape. A frequent subject of photographs, according to legends, a site of witch sabbaths. Treeless, with alpine meadows featuring rare flora. Good views.
According to ags.cuzk.cz, the height of the peak is 1447.2 m. The saddle between the contour lines of 1431 and 1432 m, giving it a prominence of 16 meters and a new (currently unofficial) thousand-meter peak! Thus, it is the third highest mountain in the Jeseníky and the third highest mountain in the Moravian-Silesian Region!
The summit itself is inaccessible as it lies in a national nature reserve. Nature conservationists strictly enforce the prohibition and often check compliance. Access to the rock is only possible in winter, via a ski lift from Ovčárna (or by ski touring/foot along the edge of the slope).
