The ideal starting point for the ascent is the bus stop Kals a. G. Lucknerhaus. The difficulty is comparable to the medium difficulty of the High Tatras. Above an altitude of 2500 m, there are occasionally slightly adrenaline-inducing sections. The last 100 m before the summit cross is quite dangerous, although physically not demanding – it involves rocky terrain with steep drops on both sides. There is no flat area at the summit for comfortable seating, and it does not invite rest. There is no via ferrata on the route, so ferrata gear is unnecessary.
