Zebra Rocks is a unique rock formation that got its name from the striking black and white stripes adorning its surface. It is believed that rainwater flowing down the lava rock overhang caused a reaction that imprinted these white markings into the rock. It is located about a 30-minute walk from the Horombo huts on the Marangu route. After climbing the rocks, a stunning view of Kilimanjaro and Mawenzi opens up.
