Lusen in German. An iconic mountain in the German part of Šumava, just 300 meters from the Czech border. The peak is crowned by a sea of stones and a summit cross visible from afar. Great views of the surrounding mountains (Roklan, Poledník, Černá hora...), and in good visibility, the Alps can also be seen. In the past, the Golden Trail led through the valley below Luzný all the way to Březník, but today it is inaccessible to the public due to the presence of capercaillie (a restricted access area) and Luzný is inaccessible from the Czech side. Two marked paths lead to it from the German side.
