An iconic mountain in the German part of Šumava, just 300 meters from the Czech border. The summit is crowned by a prominently visible stone sea and a summit cross. Great views of the surrounding mountains (Roklan, Poledník, Černá hora...), and on clear days, the Alps can also be seen. In the past, the Golden Path led through the valley below Luzný to Březník, but today it is inaccessible to the public due to the presence of the capercaillie (restricted access area), and Luzný is inaccessible from the Czech side. From the German side, there are two marked paths leading to it.
