    Kaisergebirge (Emperor Mountains) is a mountain range in the Northern Limestone Alps in Tyrol, Austria. It consists of two main parts, Wilder Kaiser (Wild Emperor) and Zahmer Kaiser (Gentle Emperor), and an unnamed eastern subrange. From the south, it appears as a massive limestone rampart full of towers, walls, and gorges. It is the most visited climbing area in Austria, and via ferrata enthusiasts will also find plenty to enjoy. The highest peak is the ultra-prominent Ellmauer Halt (2344 m).
