This peak extends from the main ridge of the Orlické hory. Beneath its southwestern slope lies the well-known resort of Deštné, at the western foot of the village of Sedloňov. The opposite slope is highlighted by the spring stream of the Bělá creek. The summit area is a nature reserve covering 100 hectares. It is the largest reserve in the entire Orlické hory Protected Landscape Area. The reason for its protection is the original forest growth of mixed fir-beech forest with a typical herbaceous understory.
