The ascent to Rote Wand is very easy and is known for its great views.
In favorable weather, distant views open up from Ortler and Weißkugel to the west, through the Sexten Dolomites and Lienz Dolomites to the south, all the way to Großglockner and Großvenediger.

Particularly impressive is the view of the Rieserferner group to the north and the tangibly close mountains Hochgall and Wildgall with Lake Obersee on the Austrian side and Anterselva deep in the valley at their foot.

Enjoying this magnificent summit panorama is quite easy, as there are no difficult passages to overcome.

The ascent also takes place at a pleasant gradient, except for the last meters before the summit. This hike is suitable for both young and older, for experienced and less experienced hikers, and will surely bring joy to everyone.
