The first major peak of Šumava from the northwest, unusually prominent for Šumava and distinct from many others. The beginning of a significant ridge leading to Jezerní hora. Part of the Královský hvozd Protected Area. The elevation difference from the Úhlava valley is 750 m. The highest point is located in Germany (according to geodetic measurements 1292.43 m), where there is also a mountain hut open from spring to autumn. Great views. From the Czech side, it is most easily accessible via the blue trail from Hamry, but there are several alternatives.
