At the summit stood a chapel since 1684, later rebuilt into a church, which did not survive the post-war expulsion and the transformation of the village of Pleš into a wasteland dangerously close to the Iron Curtain. Between 1991 and 1993, the outer walls of the church and the adjacent cemetery were restored.
