Přívozská halda, also known as the Dolu Odra heap, is an artificial hill formed by the deposition of spoil from coal mining, located near Dolu Odra in Přívoz. It is bordered by the Ostravice River, the railway corridor to Bohumín, and the streets Muglinovská and Teslová. It is the third largest heap in Ostrava (the first is Ema heap, the second is Heřmanice heap). From the base to the summit, it measures nearly 100 meters. Unlike the two aforementioned heaps, it does not smolder internally; its core is cold. This hill remains untouched as it was left after mining ceased in 1994. Here, no one has even attempted to plant trees and shrubs. Ema is surrounded by mature forest, while the Heřmanice heap lost its planted trees, their roots destroyed by the burning core. The heap in Přívoz has been self-sustaining for decades, with its slopes covered in spontaneous vegetation, primarily birch. Although there is a nice view of Ostrava and the surrounding area from the heap, there are no marked hiking trails here. The ascent to the heap is therefore difficult.
