Landek is a forested elongated hill located in the Silesian part of the statutory city of Ostrava in the cadastral areas of Koblova and Petřkovice, at the confluence of the Odra and Ostravice rivers. It is a site known both in Europe and worldwide, particularly in terms of geology, archaeology, history, natural sciences, and mining. Its significance is compared to more famous hills.
