Jezerní hora is the 8th highest mountain on the Czech side of Šumava. It is the highest peak of the geomorphological district of Královský hvozd and the highest peak of the entire Železnorudská highlands. The boundary of the European watershed between the Danube and Elbe also runs through it.
The summit is located in NPR Černé a Čertovo jezero, 220 m beyond its border.
