A prominent peak 4 km east of Loučná nad Desnou. On the northern ridge of Mravenečník, there are wind turbines (3 towers, a good landmark) and on the western slope near the upper station of the cable car from Kouty nad Desnou, there is the lookout tower U Tetřeví chaty. To the west, there are two smaller ridges and steep slopes descending into the valley of Desná.
The summit, at an elevation of 1,250 – 1,320 m, is covered with grasslands, while lower down there is a mountain spruce forest. Excellent views. There is a geodetic point on the summit plateau.
The best access is from Dlouhé stráne. From the grassy ridge, it is about 800 m to the west to Mravenečník. Unmarked, challenging to navigate in poor visibility.
