Personally, I consider this part of the hiking trail "Goldsteig" to be the most beautiful, but everyone must draw their own conclusion after conquering those thirty splendid kilometers through the 12 thousanders of the German Šumava. Steinbühler Gesenke is a sloping stone field that invites climbing with its character. For everyone else, there is the mentioned trail that runs along the edge of the rock outcrop. Thanks to the open view and relatively high altitude, you will be greeted with a view to the south, into the Zellertal valley with its hundred shades of fields and the rolling landscape of the Bavarian Forest. If you want to have a snack on Goldsteig, I recommend it at this spot. The highest point is a bit hidden off the trail (it's the one in the photo) and requires the use of hands to reach. Other viewpoints on this rock are accessible even for a dog.
