The highest peak of Mount Desert Island, the highest point along the eastern coast of North American Atlantic from Cape Breton to Mexico, and the first place in the USA to see the sunrise.
A paid road leads to the top, and it is necessary to reserve entry in advance. It is also possible to hike about 3.5 km on the marked Cadillac North Ridge Trail with beautiful views. Other routes are available, but in more difficult terrain.
