At 512 meters, it is the highest peak of the natural formation Serra de Collserola. Mount Tibidabo rises in the northwest of Barcelona. At the very top of the mountain stands the beautiful neo-Gothic church Temple Expiatori del Sagrat Cor, which was built throughout the first half of the 20th century. Its interior is worth visiting, as is the observation platform at the summit, from which you can see not only Barcelona itself but also a large part of Catalonia and the Pyrenees. Above the observation platform stands only a bronze statue of Jesus.
To reach Tibidabo, you can use several public transport options, the most famous being the funicular that goes from the Plaza del Doctor Andreu station directly to the summit - Funicular de Tibidabo. In the city center, you just need to take line L7 (for example, from Plaza de Catalunya) and ride to Plaza de John Kennedy, from where the historic blue tram will take you to the lower station of the funicular.
