Logged on Vrcholovka 1x in total. Vrchol Łysica Z was added here by Milda.
The highest mountain of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains (Góry Świętokrzyskie) and the entire Polish highlands. It has two peaks, 700 m apart, the western one with a cross and the eastern one with the Agata rock (also known as Zamczysko). Until 2018, it was believed that the western peak was the highest, but measurements conducted by employees of the Kielce University of Technology showed that the eastern Agata is slightly higher (613.96 m vs. 613.31 m).
For historical reasons, the western peak belongs to the Crown of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains and to the original Polish list of peaks Crown of the Polish Mountains. Legends say that it was on Łysica that witches' meetings called sabbats took place.
