The highest mountain of the Šumava region, Vítkovokamenská hornatina, on the right bank of the Lipno Dam, about 5 km from the village of Přední Výtoň. At the summit lies the eponymous ruin Vítkův kámen (also known as Vítkův hrádek), the highest in the whole of the Czech Republic! The castle tower was renovated in 2005, and a wooden staircase was built inside the tower, ending with an observation platform that offers a nice circular view. On clear days, the Alps can also be seen.
