Ořešník vyhlídka is part of challenge: Cross on top of domestic mountains and hills

The name comes from the hazel trees that used to grow here, specifically from their nuts. Once a popular viewpoint for local monks from the Franciscan monastery, who sought a place for contemplation and prayer closer to the heavens. They also erected the first cross here, symbolically connecting the local monastery with the skies. The ascent to the viewpoint is adventurous and definitely not for everyone, but a healthy average person who does not suffer from vertigo can manage it; the steep steps carved into granite, resembling a ladder, are complemented by a railing. A visit is certainly an experience, the route from Hejnice is 'also' pleasant, while the path from Holubník is significantly more enjoyable. Along the way from the yellow hiking trail, you will visit a very nice waterfall, and from there, the path winds upward in a way that you hardly realize you are climbing.
