The ruins of Sychrov Castle are located on the ridge opposite the ruins of Rabštejn nad Střelou. Some authors consider Sychrov Castle to be an independent settlement, while others view it as an advanced fortification of Rabštejn Castle. The castle was built during the reign of Charles IV. The summit is to the west of the preserved castle tower. Both from the tower and the summit, there are nice views of the town, the chateau, the church, and the surrounding area.
