The rocky peak Homole with the Zvolská Homole nature reserve forms the right bank of the Vltava River in the area of Zvole above Vrané nad Vltavou, and is part of the Central Bohemia Nature Park. It is named after the nearby village of Zvole and the shape of the rock that rises above the surface of the Vltava. From the cliffs that extend towards the Vltava bank, there is a great view of the Vltava valley.
On the promontory north of the peak, there are the remains of a prehistoric settlement from the Bronze Age (the settlement itself is even older). At the same location, a castle was probably built in the High Middle Ages, but it was never completed.

Views

From the area of the Homole settlement north of the peak, there are amazing views of the Vltava valley both towards Vrané nad Vltavou and Zbraslav.
