the highest peak of the Ankogelgruppe massif in the Austrian High Tauern, located 48 km ENE of Grossglockner, the highest mountain in Austria (3798 m a.s.l.). Like most mountains in the High Tauern, it is composed of granite. Glaciers extend on the eastern and southern sides.

The first ascent was made on August 30, 1855, by Andreas Pucher, Josef Moritz, and Jakob Haman; previously, the first ascent was attributed to Paul Grohmann in 1859.

The normal route leads from the Gößkarspeicher reservoir (1707 m a.s.l.) via the Gießenerhütte hut (2202 m a.s.l.), where it is possible to spend the night. From there, the route follows the southeast ridge along the partially secured path "Rudolstädter weg" (difficulty UIAA I).

Another route also starts from the Gießenerhütte hut (2202 m a.s.l.), over the Lassacher Winkelscharte (2856 m a.s.l.), which is a rocky notch in the Detmolder grat ridge, and from there along the ridge (difficulty UIAA II+) to the summit, where a metal cross about 3 meters high stands.
