The construction of Martin-Busch-Hütte began in the 1930s, but due to the war, it was completed only in 1953. Since the hut is located on the very busy long-distance hiking trail E5, it is often overcrowded during the main season, and the number of beds is very limited due to the small size.
After the renovation in 2013, the hut is now equipped with modern sanitary facilities, but the guest rooms are still too small. In nice weather, the terrace with a stunning view of the surrounding mountains is a much more pleasant place.
