Impressive view after a steep ascent from Mattertal: 19 four-thousanders lined up from Dom to the peak of Matterhorn, which is clearly visible, across Dufourspitze. On the same slope, Zinalrothorn and within reach, the southeast face of the Weisshorn pyramid. This cozy little nest is the starting point for the ascent via the eastern ridge. Due to its fantastic location, this hut is also a common destination for well-trained hikers, reachable in 4 - 4 1/2 hours from Randa.
Capacity of 30 beds, winter room 18 beds.
