About chalet Rosenlauibiwak

The rusty red metal bivouac is used by skiers on their way to the Wetterhorn and Rosenhorn area (closed in summer). Simply furnished, it serves as a winter alternative to the summer hut at Tossengrat. The small hut is built on stilts, on the edge of a debris slope, attached to the rock and on the summer route from Rosenlaui to Dossenhütte.
Rosenlauibiwak is open only during the spring skiing season. It is a starting point for ski touring to Wetterhorn and Rosenhorn.
It has 11 beds with blankets. No light, no heating. A stove, dishes, and cutlery (in the drawer at the table) are available. You must bring your own gas cartridges.
