About chalet Rottalhütte
Švýcarsko
The access route to the hut from Stechelberg in the Lauterbrunnen valley, with fixed ropes and ladders, is challenging. Visitors to this traditional hut will be impressed by the view of the Rottalgletscher, up towards the Jungfrau and Rottalsattel, and the steep glacial wall of Äbeni Flue. Equally impressive and extraordinary are the high-altitude ascents to the Jungfrau via Innere Rottalgrat or to Äbeni Flue across the Stufestei glacier.
The hut is open year-round and is staffed by a club member on weekends from early/mid-June to the end of September. Drinks are available. Meals can also be provided upon request. There are pans, dishes, cutlery, coffee, tea, powdered milk, sugar, salt, spices, running water, a wood stove, and firewood for cooking.
Access for experienced mountain hikers in summer from Stechelberg via P. 1204 - Altläger - Madfura - S. 2096 - Bäreflue takes approximately 5.5 hours. In cold periods (when the hut is covered in snow and ice), the hut is reserved for very experienced climbers.
Number of beds: 34.
Nearest peaks: Jungfrau (4158 m, 1.8 km) Silberhorn (3697 m, 1.8 km) Gletscherhorn (3983 m, 2.3 km)
