Lauteraarhütte is located at an altitude of 2393 meters above sea level on a rocky outcrop high above the Unteraar Glacier in the Grimsel area. The small, original Lauteraarhütte is and remains - whether as a stop for high-altitude hikes or as a turnaround point for a hike - a valuable high-altitude hiking destination with stunning views.
Access takes about 4 - 4.5 hours from Grimsel Summerloch, without entering the glacier.
Access via the ladder path (direct access from the glacier) is only possible for climbers!
Capacity of 30 beds, winter room 12 beds.
