A remote, magnificent mountain accommodation that has retained its traditional charm. It hangs over a chasm, as if glued to the rock, accessible via ladders, a ledge, and a covered gallery. The hut and the path are protected from falling rocks by nets. It is accessible from Grimselpass and is a great starting point for adventures further into the Finsteraarhorn and Aletsch areas. In spring, conditions are often good on the surrounding snowy glacier and on stable snow.
Capacity of 40 beds, winter room 15 beds.

From Berghaus Oberaar (normal route) F 4:30 - 5:30 h
In winter:
From Finsteraarhornhütte via Rotloch PD- 3–3:30 h
From Oberwald PD 7–7:30 h
From Münster PD + 7:30–8 h, 2320 m
