When you hear the name of this hut, you inevitably think of the most beautiful ridge to the sky, the Bianco ridge to Piz Bernina, the king of the Eastern Alps. In summer, the spacious climbing hut welcomes tourists accustomed to the mountains, who arrive in Val Roseg on mountain bikes or horse-drawn carriages, making their way to the traditional hut with great views - the sight of the alpine ridge at the back of the valley is unforgettable.
Service: from mid-June to early October. Winter room only at other times. Tour options: Piz Morteratsch, Piz Bernina, Piz Scerscen, Piz Roseg, Coaz Hut
Specialties from the kitchen: Homemade fruit pie, Tschiervarösti, dried meat from Engadin, and many more.
Character: Climbing of all types and levels, from extreme high-altitude ascents on rock and ice to high-altitude treks on easier paths. Highlights: Unique view of Biancograt from the terrace. As the name Tschierva suggests, deer and chamois are often seen here. The hut has been recently renovated and is now even more comfortable than before.
Access: 3 hours walk from Pontresina through the Roseg valley. You can arrive by bike or take a horse-drawn carriage from Pontresina to Hotel Restaurant Roseg (for reservations call +41 (0) 78 944 75 55).
