From the Plan Glacier hut (guarded from June to September), head southeast (along a path with several steel cables, passing around several rock barriers) and descend onto the Miage glacier. Traverse it horizontally to the southwest to reach the cliff at the foot of Col de Miage, to the right of the obvious gully and at the base of the rock outcrop (large red dot). Follow the ridge, which becomes less and less marked towards the tower (steel cables nearby at the top). Durier is on the left. The risk of falling rocks while climbing the ridge is significantly reduced. The path is good, try to stay on it.

Variant:
By climbing over Dome de Miage, it is possible to reach the Durier hut in 2 days from Contamines.
