Guttenberghaus is a mountain hut of the Alpine Club belonging to the Austrian Alpine Association. At 2146 m high, just below Feisterscharte at the foot of Eselstein and Sinabell. The hut is located in the eastern part of the Dachstein mountain range, high above Ramsau, and is the highest hut of the Alpine Club in Styria. It is a destination for hikers and day visitors, as well as a base for climbers who set out on longer hikes in the Dachstein mountains. Guttenberghaus is well-regarded for families with children in the huts. The Alpine Association “With Children in Huts” also shows that families with children are in good hands at the hut. The hut is recommended as it is accessible for children aged 6 to 7 years, so they are not overwhelmed. Our location is a starting point for many different hiking options from moderate to difficult, yet always “high-altitude!” In winter, this area offers a number of opportunities for ski tours, with the winter room locked with a special AV lock (10 places, heated). Pick up the keys from the landlord Günter Perhab in Ramsau. A stove and dishes are available.
