The most visited peak in Sri Lanka (Ceylon). A sacred mountain for all Sri Lankan religions. Buddhists consider it to be the footprint of Buddha when he ascended to heaven, Hindus attribute its origin to Shiva, Muslims to Adam, and Christians to Saint Thomas.
