About peak Totenköpfl

Logged on Vrcholovka 3x in total. Vrchol Totenköpfl was added here by Martin Horáček and info was completed by Martin Horáček.

Admonter Reichenstein is the highest and easternmost mountain in the Reichenstein group and can only be accessed by climbing! One of the most interesting routes leads along the eastern ridge over the so-called Totenköpfl. UIAA (III). From here, you can descend down to Reichensteinscharte (rappelling 2 x 30 m) to join the normal route and climb to the summit. Alternatively, you can climb directly up the somewhat fragile eastern face to the highest point. Regardless of which option you choose, the view of Großer Ödstein, Buchstein, and down to Johnsbach or Admont is fantastic. Especially candidates for the eastern face should have some alpine experience to enjoy this tour.
