The peak is located near the ruins of Lopata Castle. The castle was founded by Heřman of Litice between 1367 and 1377 in the area of a prehistoric settlement. The name of the castle is likely derived from the shape of the rock on which it stands. The castle was destroyed in February 1433 after a long 4-month siege by the Hussites, during which the starving owners set it on fire and attempted to escape. To this day, remnants of the firing positions have survived, and a wooden bridge and stairs will lead you to the site.
