The highest peak of the Šumava ridge Hoher Bogen and the westernmost thousand-meter peak of Šumava. At the summit stands a 75-meter tall tower with a former NATO listening station. In 2004, the tower was equipped with an external staircase and an observation platform at a height of 50 meters, which is accessible year-round.
Note: the former NATO towers are not at the summit; the summit is about 200 meters southeast, formed by a rocky ridge, with a cross at the highest point.
