Významný bod Taksang Palpung was added here by Mountainer and info was completed by Martin Matějka.
The slopes with the Buddhist monastery Taksang Palpung, known as the "Tiger's Nest", about 10 km north of the town of Paro. It is certainly the most visited monument and an unwritten symbol of the country. Although it is not the peak of the mountain, individual tourism is unfortunately prohibited in Bhutan, and you can only move according to an approved program and accompanied by local guides. Therefore, you cannot go higher. However, from my perspective, I view this measure positively. Otherwise, Bhutan would be destroyed by global tourism.
