The southern foothills of Mount Rombon above the town of Bovec in the Goriška region. During World War I, Čukla was the scene of bloody and fierce fighting on the Soča front. The Italian army deployed four battalions of Alpine troops here to capture this strategic position. The summit still has a monument to the Italian mountain troops (Alpini) and the remains of trenches, fortifications and caverns can be seen in the surrounding area. The peak is part of the historical trail The Walk of Peace.
